add a mergefield (e.g. first name) into an email template
It would be very handy to be able to insert a mergefield such as first name into a bulk email template. For instance to personalise an interview message or a rejection letter,

Ability to have remote/virtual/telecommute positions
My entire company is remote, so our jobs don't have a location. Candidates just have to be located in the U.S. It doesn't seem like it's possible to indicate this right now though with Simplicant. Is this something that can be added soon? Thanks!

Please give us a heads up when a major change is about to go live.
I love the new interface! I was, however, a little surprised to come into work and see such a different look and some different functionality. I'm a huge Simplicant fan and am very impressed with the way you solicit and implement feedback. A little change management in the form of an email or splash page would have been great and I recommend something like this in the future as Simplicant continues to evolve. Other than that, great work on the new look!

Notification in the messages tab when there is a new message
Why not notifiy me when I have a new message in the tab?
Like, "Messages (4)"

save a default settings for filters in applicants tab
I always head to the applicants tab and then once I'm there, I see a whole bunch of new resumes, dive in to start reading resumes, and then realize that half of them are for another manager's job posting.
I would like to be able to save a default set of filters on the applicants screen so whenever I open it up it remembers that I want to see applicants for only one or two particular jobs- not all of them

It would be a nice feature to be able to get unique URLs for each job posting to post on sites like LinkedIn, Monster, etc. so you could better track where your applications are coming from.
If I post the application link to LinkedIn, the source just shows up as company job board.

sort messages with most recent at the top
I see I have a message from a particular applicant, so I click on the applicant name, click over to the messages tab, then have to scroll down through 10+ messages to see the latest.
I would rather just see the most recent message at the top of the message list

Add option to select from email templates to bulk email
The option to select from an email template is available when I create a new message from within the Messages tab of an applicant's record. It would be great to have my email tempates available when I send bulk email, I.e., when I've selected several applicants from the main applicant list using the checkboxes and then clicked the Email Applicant icon.

EEO reporting by EEO-1 job category
Please include the option to report EEO numbers by EEO-1 job category in addition to (or instead of) job. I see that EEO-1 is now incuded when I create a job; thank you for that update! Now let's pull it through to reporting.

Add "next" and "previous" buttons to scroll through a list of applicants
When evaluating a list of applicants, I click into one to view their profile and resume, rate them, change the status, and then want to go directly into the profile page of the next applicant in the list without having to go back to the Applicants tab, selecting the applicant, and being taken into their profile page.

Add totals to EEO numbers
It would be helpful to see a row and column of totals on the EEO reports.

Bring back the old user interface
The new user interface may look clean and pretty, but I find it far less useful.
The thing I liked most about simplicant was how quickly I could use the tool. Whether that was going through a bunch of new applicants, updating an applicant's status and notes after a phone screen, or checking back through applicants to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Please bring back the old user interface!

Excerpts for Job Postings
Each job posting should have an excerpt. Content in this form should be toggle-able from the widget, job board, and for each singular job. This will allow admins to trim job descriptions on landing pages while still maintaining their full length versions.

Ability to Add Section for Reference Checks
When checking references, allow us the ability to associate a contact to an applicant...that way, when the reference calls us back, we can search for them and complete the reference check.
